Trust Wallet, a provider of self-custodial and multi-chain wallets, has released a wallet extension for browsers. The browser extension is a supplement to Trust Wallet’s mobile wallet. The mobile wallet is among the most popular mobile cryptocurrency wallet in the world. Currently, it has over 60 million downloads and registers over 10 million monthly active users throughout the globe. It works with Chrome, Brave, and Opera, among others. In addition, it works with the Solana and other EVM chains.
With the crypto space expanding rapidly, wallets also need to change with the times to ensure users experience web3 to the fullest. The Trust Wallet add-on for browsers is a multi-chain, noncustodial wallet that makes using a web3 wallet on a desktop computer simple and straightforward. Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche, plus Solana, are just some of the chains it works with.
Expansion to include additional non-EVMs is planned over the future months, and the company will disclose more information at the appropriate time. Moreover, the browser extension will eventually include support for the existing mobile app capabilities like swaps, staking, and NFT storage.
The Trust Wallet Extension enhances the user experience of the extension wallet while using several chains. Further, network auto-detect enables a trouble-free dApp experience with no need to manually add networks. As an added bonus, it offers an improved dApp experience, allowing users to more easily find new items beyond centralized exchanges (CEXs), such as Web3 games, the metaverse, DeFi, tokens not found on CEXs, and more.
More parity between the desktop and mobile versions of Trust Wallet is on the horizon with the addition of features like multi-wallet support, NFT support, fiat on-ramp providers, and interfaces with blockchains that are not EVMs. Yet, special features, like support for hardware wallets, will come to the extension first.
