A number of TOMATO coin price predictions have been speculating where the crypto token is likely to head after the much-awaited airdrop. The token is yet to get listed in centralised exchanges, but has gained significant traction, thanks to its popularity on social media platform, Telegram.
The $TOMATO token is earned as a reward on the Tomarket tap-to-earn game on Telegram. After months of accumulation by 12 million players across the world, the game’s developers announced that there will be an airdrop on Monday, 2nd September.
Redeemable via the Bitget Wallet, the airdrop will see the distribution of 350 billion $TOMATO based on a screenshot of tokens accumulated through gaming, farming, completion of tasks and refferals on the Telegram-based game as of 23:59 hours today. Integration with Telegram exposes TOMATO to a large user base of more than 930 monthly active users, and its gamified feel is a bonus.
Going by the success of other Telegram-affiliated crypto tokens like Toncoin and Notcoin, $TOMATO could potentially experience significant growth. Unlike meme coins driven purely on hype and user sentiment, the gamified approach gives these tokens tangible utility, hence greater value.
Based on on-chain data accumulated in recent days, the TOMATO token currently hovering around $0.013. However, the airdrop could see it decline in the near-term, as some holders will likely opt to sell their assets. The Tomarket tokenomics has allocated 70% of the tokens to the user community through airdrop, while incentives will take 10%, and the development team will take just 5 percent of the token.
This highlights the community-centric approach that could pay off, much as the sheer volume of the airdropped tokens could exert downward pressure in the days following the airdrop. As per the 4-hour chart generated by CoinMarketCap using aggregated on-chain price data, TOMATO price will likely pivot around 0.0130, but will need to stay above 0.127 to prevent a bearish momentum. Meanwhile, a price above 0.0135 will signal bullishness.
