RPC (Remote Procedure Call) service provider Ankr has been added to Optimism’s list of providers. The Ethereum blockchain’s Layer-2 scaling solution, Optimism, is lightning-fast and cheap. With an RPC, different apps can communicate with the blockchain. Optimism can dramatically reduce fees and enhance throughput. Moreover, it does this while retaining Ethereum’s security features by submitting transaction data to Ethereum while off-chain transaction processing continues.
The Ankr Protocol has been around since 2021. It currently processes 200 billion RPC requests every single month over 50 different blockchain networks. The Protocol expanded its selection of developer tools in 2022 by introducing the Web3 gaming software development kit (SDK), multi-chain liquid staking tools, and App Chains. Optimism, on the other hand, employs optimistic rollups to help Ethereum scale. Since its launch, it has generated more than a billion dollars’ worth of savings for consumers by lowering gas fees.
“We love what Optimism is building for the future of Ethereum. Ankr is happy to do our part to provide a fast and reliable RPC service for their users,” said Greg Gopman, the Chief Marketing Officer at Ankr.
The Optimism Rollup network leverages Ethereum’s strong security assurances while allowing apps to make faster and more cost-effective transactions. The Ankr RPC node infrastructure, on the other hand, provides high-performance RPC node infrastructure to manage any request load. Optimism node operators will receive ANKR tokens in exchange for adding their nodes to the load balancer.
Ankr is delivering a geo-distributed and decentralized Optimism RPC composed of numerous independent blockchain nodes running across the world for low-latency and dependable connections to the global Optimism network. As a result of this agreement, dApp developers looking for new RPC endpoints for Optimism will benefit greatly. Specifically, access to RPCs, request calls, and on-chain information that replicates the results of operating a self-hosted Optimism full node are available to developers.
