Bloxmith, the Web3 gaming studio, has today announced the launch of the open beta for their 1v1 squad battler game, Raiders Rumble. The game is now available on Google Play and Apple App Store, and the launch marks an important step toward the final release of the mobile game, which is built on the Fow blockchain.
Designed as a mass market strategic esport, Raiders Rumble requires players to make split-second decisions about how to respond to their opponents’ manoeuvres. Each day, players can compete in a new tournament mode, where the top 50% stand a chance to earn in-game items or the game’s token, $RUMB.
To level the playing field for everyone, collectibles in Raiders Rumble do not give players any advantage in their gameplay. Another plus is that players do not need a crypto wallet or NFTs to play. Also, the game features common payment options and allows for easy social logins.
The game’s developers have stated that they chose to build on Flow blockchain because it simplifies the transition from Web2 to Web3 for the masses. Also, the Flow layout addresses the issue of scalability for games and digital collectibles. The creators of the game say that it is highly sought after by collectors because of the appeal of its many special features.
“For our first game, we wanted to pioneer a new type of competitive mobile strategy game that would help bridge the gap between traditional and Web3 gamers,” said Bloxmith Co-founder and CEO Wayne Lee.
To celebrate the launch, Raiders Rumble will be hosting three Flow-sponsored bonus tournaments with a combined FLOW prize pool worth $120,000. The tournament will run from March 23rd to March 31st, and it will be a platform to show the game’s capabilities as a mobile game that can attract a wide demographic and introduce them to the advantages of Web3 gaming.
