Top Stock Price Forecast: Earnings Propel Barclays, Nvidia and BP Share Prices

Michael Abadha Blockchain market writer
    Summary:
  • In this top stock price prediction article, we tell you why the earnings season could spark sustained gains by Nvidia, Barclays and BP share prices.

The stock market is reeling from the escalation of a trade was amongst the world’s leading economies. The Dow Jones Index, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all ended last week in the red. With China’s 25% counter-tariffs coming into force on Monday and US President Donald Trump set to announce new tariffs, the stage is set for a potential struggle by equities markets. Nonetheless, I expect Barclays, Nvidia and BP share prices to perform well in the near-term.

Barclays

Barclays share price has been on a strong upward momentum in recent days, and has gained more than 5% in the last five trading sessions. In addition, it is up by 15.1% year-to-date. This week’s momentum is likely to be driven by an upbeat sentiment surrounding its quarterly earnings report set for release on Thursday, February 13th.

Investors are likely to pay greater attention to the bank’s net interest margin in respect to cuts by the Bank of England. Also, its investment division could provide insights into Barclays Bank (LSE: BARC) growth prospects.

Barclays Share Price Prediction

Pivot: The momentum on Barclays share price signals control by the buyers. The stock pivots at GBX 302.85 and the upside will prevail above that level. Otherwise, the sellers could take control.

Resistance: The first resistance is likely to be at GBX 309.85, beyond which the next target could come at GBX 312.15.

Support: The first support at GBX 299.55. Breaking below that level will invalidate the upside narrative. The second support could follow at GBX 295.80.

BP

BP share price has a relatively high volatility ahead of the company’s fourth quarter 2024 earnings release. The stock was up by 7.% at the time of writing. The company’s net income declined by 30% to $2.6 billion in the third quarter, putting a degree of pressure on the Q4 report. In addition, the report will provide insights into the company’s debt level, which was at $23 billion as of Q3 2024.

Meanwhile, oil prices are under pressure as concerns arise that escalating trade wars could impact economies adversely and lead to a decline in demand. However, the expected jump in US shale producrion has not materialised so far, as producers are keen on preventing a supply glut. That has gone against the rhetoric by President Donald Trump, and could provide support for oil prices for the foreseeable future.

BP Share Price Prediction

Pivot: BP share price pivots at GBX 455.45 and the momentum signals control by the buyers above that level. Conversely, breaking below that level will shift the momentum to the downside.

Resistance: Primary resistance at GBX 469.30. Above that level, the next target is likely to be at GBX 480.50.

Support: The first support could come at GBX 446.90. The upside narrative will be invalid if the stock breaks below that level. That could establish the next support at GBX 436.90.

Nvidia

Nvidia stock price has is on a six-session winning streak. The propulsion is partly supported by the strong earnings report by its leading supplier, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) has been under pressure since Chinese startup, DeepSeek came into the scene.

Nvidia stock price is likely to pick mpomentum in the coming days ahead of its earnings report release on February 26. Investors anticipate strong earnings, based on CEO Jensen Huang’s description of the demand for the company’s Blackwell GPU chips as “insane”.

Nvidia Stock Price Prediction

Pivot: Nvidia stock price pivots at $132.65 and the momentum signals bullish control. However, slipping below that level could shift the momentum to the downside.

Resistance: The first resistance will likely be at $135.60. Breaking above that level will set the next hurdle at $138.50.

Support: Initial support is likely to be at $130.20. The upside narrative will be invalid below that level. The second support is likely to come at $127.95.
